Coming Soon… Cockpit Software Suite 1.0

Cockpit Software Suite 1.0 has a new look, brings new functionality, and makes configuring your instruments even easier.  It’s just about to enter beta test so it won’t be long until it’s available.

Time advances ever forward and so do the ACES products.  Following the recent announcement about the new mini stepper module, I’m pleased to announce a new version of the Cockpit Software Suite.  The new look of the software suite is more in tune with Windows but the real meat of the changes is in the feature improvements.

The My Cockpit and Sim Data Map tabs have been separated into their own windows.  This makes it possible to see both at the same time.  The same goes for the module configuration window.  With all three visible at the same time, it’s easier to move between the three windows as you finalize your configuration.

The Mini Maestro controllers are now plug and play with the Cockpit Software Suite.  This means you no longer have to use the separate Maestro Control Center software to do any configuration or set up.  It also means there is no longer a limitation on how many Mini Maestro controllers you can connect.  Even better, the additional Mini Maestros can now just be plugged into the USB. No more TTL daisy chaining with custom made cables.

What may be the biggest although least visible improvement is the internal application framework.  The new framework supports plug-ins to communicate with different flight simulation programs.  Cockpit Software Suite will come with the plug-in for IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover.  The X-Plane plugin is under development now and won’t be too far behind the release of suite 1.0.  Additional plug-ins will be developed.
